resilient to climate change, to protect, restore and improve the quality of the environment, including air, water and soil, and to halt and reverse biodiversity loss and address ecosystem degradation, class=\"list pt-0 mt-0\">\n<li class=\"pb-0\">help make the shift towards a more sustainable, circular, energy-efficient, renewable energy-based, climate-neutral and -resilient economy.<\/li>\n<li class=\"pb-0\">protect, restore and enhance our environment.<\/li>\n<li class=\"pb-0\">halt and reverse biodiversity loss.<\/li>\n<li class=\"pb-0\">stop the degradation of ecosystems by managing and enhancing the Natura 2000 network, thereby boosting sustainable development.<\/li>\n<li class=\"pb-0\">encourage and support green ideas from both large and small companies, NGOs, public authorities, citizen groups and academia, amongst others.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The LIFE programme is divided into two strands: one for the environment and another for climate action.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-2\">The\u00a0<strong>environment<\/strong>\u00a0strand has two sub-programmes:<\/p>\n<ol class=\"alpha pt-0 mt-0\">\n<li class=\"pb-1\"><strong>Nature and biodiversity<\/strong><\/li>\n<li class=\"pb-0\"><strong>Circular economy and quality of life<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p class=\"mb-2\">The\u00a0<strong>climate action<\/strong>\u00a0strand also has two sub-programmes:<\/p>\n<ol These will include details on:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"list pt-0 mt-0\">\n<li class=\"pb-0\">the four sub-programmes<\/li>\n<li class=\"pb-0\">funding allocation<\/li>\n<li class=\"pb-0\">types of projects and co-financing rates<\/li>\n<li class=\"pb-0\">submission and selection procedures, including award criteria<\/li>\n<li class=\"pb-0\">Calls for Proposals timelines<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Each year, LIFE will publish\u00a0Calls for Proposals for different types of projects.
