The European Investment Fund (EIF), part of the European Investment Bank Group (EIB Group), will contribute up to \u20ac25 million as an anchor investor in the European Movie Boost Up Fund managed by PYXIS Entertainment Ventures (PYXIS EV). With a target size of \u20ac85 million, the fund aims to finance the development and production of European audiovisual content. The official signing ceremony, which took place during the San Sebasti\u00e1n International Film Festival, marks a major milestone in the financing of European alternative assets.
\nBacked by MediaInvest, which forms part of the InvestEU programme and is supported by Creative Europe \u2013 Media, the EIF\u2019s investment helps to bridge the funding gap in the European audiovisual sector, whilst helping producers to retain ownership of their intellectual property rights and strengthening the global competitiveness of European productions.<\/p>\n
