Two Spanish projects among those selected by the Commission for transforming the urban landscape

The European Commission and the Haute-France region - as the European Urban Initiative (EUI) lead agency - today announced the selection of 20 innovative projects under its third call for innovative urban initiatives. These projects, funded with €94 million from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and to be implemented in 13 EU Member States, will foster the transformation of urban environments and pave the way towards greener and more digital cities.

Each project will receive up to €5 million from the ERDF, covering 80% of eligible costs. These pioneering projects serve as examples of innovative urban spaces across Europe, and part of the ERDF funding is earmarked to promote replication in other EU cities.
