Work Plan for the implementation of the Creative Europe programme 2026

The new Creative Europe Annual Work Plan for 2026 has just been published. This document contains not only the priorities for the coming year, but also an indicative calendar of upcoming calls for proposals.

Among the main priorities are the protection of democracy, the promotion of social resilience, the defence of European values and the safeguarding of the rule of law. These priorities are in line with other European Union policies. In particular, with regard to Creative Europe, the general priorities will continue to be greening and sustainability; the digital transition of the cultural and creative sectors; the inclusion of gender equality; and the role of culture in international relations.

Of particular note is the call for European Cooperation Projects with a budget of €60 million, which will be published in the first quarter of 2026 and will be open to small and medium-scale projects. The call for the circulation of European literary works will be published in autumn 2026.

Finally, support will continue to be provided for Creative Europe awards, networks, platforms and pan-European entities. The same applies to the mobility programme, Culture Moves Europe, for which calls for proposals will begin to be launched in autumn 2026.
