EESC Civil Society Prize 2022. Rewarding excellence in civil society initiatives. Empowering Young People - European Civil Society for Ukraine.

The 2022 prize will reward effective, innovative and creative initiatives which aim to create a better future for European youth and with European youth by tackling the specific needs of young people and contributing to their empowerment and participation in all spheres of economic and social life (category 1) help civilians suffering as a result of the war in Ukraine (category 2).

The prize is open to non-for-profit initiatives carried out by natural persons and/or civil society organisations and/or private companies officially registered within the European Union. It has a total value of EUR 60 000 and can be shared among up to three winners for each category. Its aim is to raise awareness of the contribution that civil society can make to creating a European identity and citizenship in a way that underpins the common values that are the foundation of European integration.
