The call for entries for the European Heritage Awards / Europa Nostra Awards 2027 is now open. These Awards recognise outstanding achievements in the protection, conservation, research and promotion of cultural heritage, covering a wide range of categories and types of projects, from tangible to intangible heritage.
Nominations are invited in the following five categories: Conservation and Adaptive Reuse. Research. Education, Training and Skills. Public Awareness and Engagement. Heritage Champions.
The Awards were established in 2002 by the European Commission and have since been managed by Europa Nostra. They are also supported by the European Union’s Creative Europe Programme. Winners will receive not only a cash prize of €10,000, but also visibility through European recognition and media coverage, as well as access to a pan-European network of professionals and experts. The deadline for entries is 7 September 2026.
